I Just Got my Stretched Ears Sewn Shut and They Are Long and Pointy Will my Ears Look Normal Once They Heal Fully? (photo)

-Your photos appear to show that although the piercings were closed, the redundant skin that you have from ear lobe stretching/gauging was not removed.

-Closing gauged ear lobe piercings is technically more challenging than closing simple piercings that were not stretched.  With ear lobes such as yours, tissue in both the horizontal and vertical vectors needs to be removed in order to avoid misshapen earlobes.

-Definitely meet with a board certified plastic surgeon who can discuss revisional surgery with you.  The good news for you is that your ear lobes can still be fixed, but unfortunately this will require another procedure.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your earlobes are very redundant. It appears as if your surgeon simply closed the opening and did not remove the redundant or excess skin. It will not really improve in appearance as it heals. You may want to seek a second opinion about a revision.

Your earlobes are very long and large. They should have been reduced during the procedure. You will now need another procedure to reduce.

It is unlikely that the hanging earlobes will shrink down anytime soon.You probably will need a revision.

How long ago was your surgery? Swelling in the first week to 10 days can make the lobes appear larger than the final result. Part of the healing process in our body involves wound contracture.

It is difficult to see in the photos, but in the second picture it looks like there is redundant tissue hanging below the natural contour of the part of the ear known as the lobule. If this is the case, I would discuss it with your surgeon. A small revision to even out the contour would not be difficult if needed.
