Answer: Rhinoplasty can change a number of face relationships.
The philtral cannot actually elongate after rhinoplasty but might be more exposed if the tip is elevated is part of the procedure. Nevertheless it's too early because of swelling to draw any conclusions.

Answer: My Philtrum Looks So Long After my Rhinoplasty?
If the tip was elevated in any manner, this can make the rest of the face look as you describe. It is too early though to know if the tip will drop and by how much. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA

Answer: My Philtrum Looks So Long After my Rhinoplasty?
The healing time is just beginning, usually at 4 months you can see a near result. Also the distance you have from the columella to the tip of cupids bow needs to be compared to a before photo. I bet they are the same measurement.

Answer: Long philtrum
tip elevation exposes more of the upper lip and creates the illusion of elongation. Once all your healing occurs at 9-12 months you will be in a better position to evaluate this and decide if you want to pursue it.
