Approximately How Many Degrees Does Tip Drop After Rhinoplasty?

I'm not sure where you can expect your nasal tip to drop 30° or so. This question should be properly addressed to your plastic surgeon who knows what was done in the operating room.

     Assuming the tape and splint have been removed, the tip may well drop several degrees.  For the female nose, 105 degrees is a reasonable angle.  If the nose dropped 50 degrees, the angle would be 80 degrees and that would be suboptimal.  Only your surgeon will be able to tell you based upon maneuvers employed and clinical experience.  Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA

Usually the tip does not drop significantly after rhinoplasty.  I place sutures in the nasal tip to give it support.
