Can I Make my Nose Bridge Flatter? (Photo)

The provided photographs are very poor quality. If there is a desire to lower the bridge this can easily be done with a rhinoplasty.

Yes a rhinoplasty can improve the appearance of your nose. Yes there is a few days of pain that is easily controlled with pain meds. 

Rhinoplasty can reshape the nose in many ways, including the bridge of the nose. When you mean a flatter bridge I assume you mean lower in height and not just a flat profile. It appears you would like more of a slightly concave dorsal profile as opposed to a straight line dorsal profile. That can be accomplished by standard rhinoplasty techniques. Make sure you have done some computer imaging before surgery with your surgeon so there is not any miscommunication as to exactly what you want.

 To make the nasal bridge less projecting and more flat, a dorsal hump will need to be removed from the nasal bridge. This involves shaving cartilage and bone and in most cases performing osteotomies to narrow the nasal bones as well.  Remember, the nose is a three-dimensional structure, so it must look good not in one dimension, but in all 3 dimensions. Thank you for the question and the photos.  A rhinoplasty procedure can shape the bridge of the nose as well as the tip.  I would seek consultation with several board certified plastic surgeons and discuss your nose shaping goal.  The desired changes that you have described are very reasonable and are within the scope and ability of a rhinoplasty procedure.

Thank you for your question and photos.  Yes, it is certainly possible to make you nose flatter, better shape, soften the pointy tip and give an overall smaller appearance.  The following link is an example of such.  This is not overly painful.  Usually the first night you have pain, but well controlled with pain meds, after that, some soreness for the following week or two, but this goes away relatively quickly.
