I had a scan done for smile care club because I want to close my gaps. They sent me a form stating I have a overjet/open bite. Will the aligners make it worse? Should I just get traditional braces?
Answer: Invisalign From the photos, you appear to be a great Invisalign case. Closing anterior spacing is easy to do and you will get a very visible result. I do notice, however, that your upper lateral teeth are small. When you compare them to the lower lateral teeth, they are smaller. This discrepancy in tooth size may prevent you from completely closing all the spaces. If this is the result you are looking for, you may need to veneer the upper lateral teeth.

Answer: Invisalign to close gap between front teeth Invisalign is a great way to close spaces between teeth and are a likely candidate. Make sure you identify the reason you have the spacing in the first place. Many times it is because of a habit like pushing the tongue against the front teeth. This will have an impact at the end of treatment as the habit can cause the teeth to splay again after treatment. Also, have a discussion with your dentist about your expectations and options to improving your smile. The lateral incisor is the tooth next to the large front tooth or Central Incisor. In your photo the lateral incisor seems smaller compared to your other teeth. You may consider placing veneers on them. You can have the invisalign worked-up in such a way that space is left around the Lateral incisor to accommodate a veneer after invisalign. In fact you can get a virtual 3-D animation of your teeth moving into your desired outcome and see what it will look like by just closing all the space and also with leaving a little space for the veneer after. Hope this helps!. Good Luck!

Answer: Considering Clear Alignet Therapy? Clear aligner therapy is a great way to closespace between teeth and correct other issues like flaring of teeth or incorrect overbite, overjet and midline. It does appear that your lateral incisors (teeth on the side of the front teeth) are too small in proportion to you central incisors (front teeth), so you may want to also consider bonding or pierce lain veneers to best correct this discrepancy. An expert cosmetic dentist also skilled in removable orthodontics would be the best choice of a dentist.
