Can I gently rub my finger tips on my scalp post one month of hair transplant because during the night it’s still a little itchy.... is there a possibility that I might have disturbed the grafts?
Answer: 1 month post hair transplant 2 weeks after hair transplantation the grafts have healed and will not typically be dislodged without drawing blood. It is at this point that most patients will return to routine scalp and hair maintenance. With regards to your specific question, gentle rubbing at 1 month will not damage any viable grafts. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS) with experience in hair restoration.Donovan Rosas MD Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery Member: American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons RealSelf Top 100 RealSelf Hall of Fame

Answer: Definitely You can gently massage your scalp whilst shampooing, with your fingertips, without scratching with your nails though. The grafts get anchored to the skin by the 10th day, therefore they won't be negatively affected by the movement.

Answer: Hair Transplant Healing At this stage of post-hair transplant healing you can rub, touch, wash, clean your head normally. There should be no reason why not. The grafted hairs are likely to be falling out soon if not have. Waiting to regrow in a few months.

Answer: Rubbing scalp It's safe to gently rub your scalp now. At 30 days post-op, the graft was embedded permanently. Rubbing might cause the transplanted hair to fall off but, no worries, it will regrow in the next 2-3 months.
