1 day post op hair grafts falling? If yes, what should I do? Please help..

Hi I am 22 years old. Yesterday I had an FUE hair transplant with 1000 grafts.. Today (1 day after) the surgery I was washing my scalp for the first time.My doc recommended me to use shaving foam rub it slightly and pour water.I did the same thing but when I was bending my head I saw a very small piece of hair in my hand covered in a white base.. Looked like a graft to me.Then I saw in the mirror and there was 1 more on the temple area.It didn't bleed but m confused if that was a graft? Plz help

It is normal to lose 2 to 3 grafts for every 1000 grafts days after a hair transplant surgery.  If you are concerned, ask your doctor for reassurance.

It's too early to see falling grafts.It will better to see your surgeon soon as possible.Fİrst 72 hours is very important for the settlement of the transplanted grafts.

Washing your head one day post transplant yourself is very tricky as the grafts do not embed till 72 hours. So, there is always a risk that they may fall out because of your rubbing. So, in my practice I advise the patients to do a gentle wash by pouring shampoo in water on 7th post op day and gentle cleaning with hands on 10th day. But I think, you have not lost too many even after washing. So, better would be not to tamper with them anymore before 7 days and visit your doctor.

I never allow rubbing on the scalp, ever. My routine is as follows:An FUE is treated just like a regular hair
transplant with regard to the recipient area, but the donor area has open
wounds which require daily washing with soap and water. Within 3 days of
surgery, you can resume full activities, heavy exercises if you wish. The
recipient area requires daily washes as well to keep the recipient area free of
crusts. I generally recommend the use of a sponge and supply my patient with a
surgical sponge to fill with soapy water and press on the recipient area daily.
By repeating this daily, all crusts can be washed off without any fear of
losing grafts. IF any crust are present, use a Q tip and dip it into soapy
water, and roll it on the crusts and that will lift them off without dislodging
them, but never rub them, just roll the Q tip on the recipient crust. I like to
see no evidence of any crusting in the recipient area and the crusts from the
donor area gone in 7-10 days with daily washing,.
