I was not prescribed any antibiotics after septoplasty, from the research I've done this doesn't seem normal. Should I be worried? Also asked to be given something to help me sleep, since it is not normal for me to fall asleep with my mouth open. Nurse said I would be able to breath through my nose the first night, however, this is not the case. I have slept maybe a total of 2 hours in the 12 hours that I have been home since the surgery. Asked if I could take melatonin instead, no answer.

After 3 months, picking at the nose as you describe will not likely cause any damage to your result. I would recommend avoiding picking if possible, and following up with your surgeon if you have an similar issue in the future. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck.
It is probably not a good idea for you to be manipulating your nose 1 week after surgery. I would recommend you go see your surgeon and voice you concerns regarding the septum and exposure.
Thank you for your question. Prices vary depending on location and
surgeon but can vary anywhere from $8,000 and up. Some insurance companies may cover the procedure if you have a documented history of severe discomfort. I would advise you to
schedule a consultation with a board certified...
