Does BodyTite last longer for younger patients with loose skin from weight loss (compared to loose skin caused by aging)?

I've read that BodyTite results last approximately 2-5 years, but I've seen some surgeons say this is because as the patient continues to age, the skin will naturally sag more. Does this mean that if a younger patient were to get BodyTite, the results would last longer? I'm 19 but have some loose skin due to weight loss. Could I expect BodyTite results to last longer for me than they would for someone who has loose skin from aging, or should I expect a similar 5-ish year window?

Results often come down to how much loose skin there is on exam, what is the overall skin quality like, what results you want to achieve, and are you ok with a scar or not? In general, overall skin quality decreases with time due to age, sun exposure, genetics, etc. So, results from BodyTite performed at 19 cannot reasonably expected to last forever. The exact timeframe is impossible to predict due to the above mentioned factors.

BodyTite or Radiofrequency assisted lipolysis (RFAL) is more effective in patients with younger skin.  It is useful in moderate weight loss patients.  For more significant weight loss surgery would be a better procedure to remove excess skin.

The ideal candidates for BodyTite are those with mild to moderate skin laxity.  Skin laxity is influenced by many factors such as age, genetics, and weight loss/gain.  Generally speaking, younger people have better skin elasticity than older people. If you have good skin elasticity and maintain your weight you should have results that last years.
