I have scheduled an appointment for a BodyTite,Lipo, and Morpheus treatment for my abdomen. Should I be concerned that he is not a Board Certified Surgeon? He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and OMT
Answer: Choosing a physician When you select a board certified plastic surgeon for your procedure you are selecting someone that has had extensive training including six years of surgical residency with a focus on reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. Their daily practice specializes in these types of procedures using the latest technology to get you the best results. So from a training and experience standpoint, yes there is definitely a difference.

Answer: Opinions on a board certified surgeon doing BodyTite & lipo as opposed to a board certified physician? Hi. As already mentioned in one of the other answers, I would strongly recommend you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who can review multiple options with you. Based on your pictures, you would not likely get a good result from a minimally invasive approach, whether that be liposuction, SmartLipo, BodyTite, etc. A tummy tuck is much more likely to make a meaningful improvement, depending on your in person evaluation. A plastic surgeon has all of these tools in his/her toolbox. But a physician who is not a surgeon does not have all those tools. Good luck and take care, Dr. Howell

Answer: Morpheus8,Bodytite & Lipo Your provider for these procedures does not necessarily need to be a board-certified surgeon VS a physician. Your choice in provider should be decided on their knowledge base, before and after photos of their work, patient reviews, and your overall experience of your consultation. Many doctors from all different aspects of medicine offer these services.

Answer: Abdominal body, TITE procedure? Type of doctor. I see you posted before and I’ve responded saying that you’re not a good candidate for the body TITE noninvasive procedure. But if you are going to have it always better to have it done by a board certified Plastic Surgeon . Best of virtual consult with.

Answer: BodyTite & Morpheus Unless you have very low expectations, I doubt you will get a good result regardless of who does this treatment. If you were to see a board certified plastic surgeons, you would be recommended to get a tummy tuck. A family medicine doctor has nothing else to offer so they try this, instead of recommending what you really need. Ask the family practice to doctor to show you real before and after photos of a patient similar to you who had the same treatment (not stock photos from the company that makes these machines).
