I’m in my late 30s and looking to lose ab fat. I’m 5’7” and weigh 150 lbs with my ab being my problem area. 2 years after pregnancy and 30lbs lighter, I’m looking to reduce ab fat with extra help. My skin is tight so no worries about skin. How effective is Morpheus8 to help me lose 3-5” around my lower abs and 2-3” on my upper abs? What kind of results are standard?

We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Without a photograph it's tough to say if you'd be an ideal candidate for Morpheus8, however, based on your description you may benefit more from a fat reduction treatment. Although Morpheus8 can destroy a very small amount of fat, it is better used for Collagen production to tighten and lift the skin. Examples of treatments that can destroy a larger amount of fat are BodyTite or Coolsculpt. I recommend and in person evaluation with your local Expert Cosmetic Provider. However, new technology devices such as BodyTite and Morpheus8 Body (both deliver radiofrequency energy) have added another layer of treatment results.
