Tiny white spots and 2 big white lumps after lip injection, what do I do? (Photos)

I was injected a product in the lips similar to Juvederm called Revanesse Kiss on the 7th of April and had a touch up on the 8th (so this morning). I have noticed the product got stuck in specific places and was told it would dissolve but I also noticed white spots on the left side of my upper lip and two white lumps on both sides of my upper lip again. I was wondering, is it going to fade? Is it normal? Was the procedure butchered? What should I do? I live in Canada by the way.

There are many different fillers entering the market. In my practice, I would suggest using Restylane and Juvederm over Versa in most cases unless there is a specific indication to use this lesser-known filler. HA fillers are effective and I would opt for more recognized options. Best, Dr....

I would suggest waiting a while longer and let things settle down. Its still early days and things still look a little swollen. Patience is best with these things before intervening again. As its an HA filler its should not be a problem sorting it out if necessary.

Hello,Thank you for your question and photos. Based on what your saying, it appears that you are still swollen. I would advise you to return to your doctor and see if he/she can squeeze out the bumps your filling. If they can't be squeezed out, then you may need to have them dissolved. Good luck!

After a careful review of some of the Versa Revanesse complications reported on realself, I would think twice before having this filler injected into the eyelids and tear troughs. In the USA, I would suggest Belotero or Restylane as a wonderful option. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
