Would a revision rhino tip surgery straighten my nose?

I am 3 weeks post op for septo rhino. During my consultation I mentioned I wanted to remove my hump and also mentioned the tip of my nose points left wanting it straightened. My surgeon said he would not touch the tip and now I am regretting not asking why? I read that it Takes time for the swelling I subside but I can’t help believing that I won’t require a revision as it appears to be quite off still.

First of all, it's important to wait at least a year before undergoing any revision surgery. You're only three weeks out from a previous surgery, and the nose is still significantly swollen. To straighten the midportion of the nose requires a spreader graft placed underneath the concave side. To straighten crooked nasal bones requires osteotomies. To straighten the nasal tip requires asymmetrical cartilage removal and cartilage grafting techniques. Revision rhinoplasty for the crooked nose is a very difficult endeavor.

No nose can be made perfectly straight. There is always some asymmetry and a lot of that can be due to the bony platform the nose sits on. Its like the foundation of a house. It is never perfectly flat and even. Fixing the tip will not make it straighter.
