Does pressure in my upper tights below my butt cause destroy of the fat in my butt? I built a bed with a hole in it because for me sleeping my my stomach is imposible and unbearable. The bed has a hard stick that puts pressure in my upper thighs is it ok ? I am despesperately trying to sleep !
Answer: BBL positioning Great question! As long as no fat grafting was performed in this area then yes it should be fine. However, make sure your positioning doesn't change and that you end up putting pressure on the buttocks.Best of luck and hope this information helps! - Dr. Roger Tsai Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Sitting and laying position post bbl Thank you for your question! I recommend that my patients keep pressure directly off of their butt. For the first 10 days, I recommend they alternate lying on each side. At day 10, they can start sitting using the BBL pillow for the following 3 weeks. This pillow is positioned under the back of the upper thighs. As long as pressure is off of the buttocks, you minimize the risk of destroying more fat cells. Best of luck!

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear Carmen45ch, as long as there is no fat transferred in that area, it should be fine. I instruct my patients not to sit for 2 solid weeks. We provide them a specialized pillow that our patients can sit on during that time. They can sleep on their stomachs or sides. I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: Difficulty with sleep positions after BBL you should talk to your provider to confirm what he or she recommends. The basic idea here is if you don't put pressure on the area where fat was crafted you should be OK. I would also use lots of pillows to prop up your lower back and back of the flies to cradle the area treated. There are also special blowup mattresses available for purchase but it seems that may be excessive after you've gone through this process with making your sleeping quarters. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
