I had a septo/rhino about 4 months ago. I am considering a lip lift but I want to make sure it’s safe! my stitches on my columella healed really well, but I still feel swelling and the tip of my nose is still a little numbed. Should I wait at least a year?
Answer: Lip Lift Post Rhinoplasty A rhinoplasty and a lip lift are often combined procedures. So now that you are 4 months post septorhinoplasty, you are definitely in the clear for a lip lift. The only caveat is if you've had alar base work done, if so I may recommend waiting at least 6 mo before getting a lip lift. Gary Linkov, MD Lip Specialist Manhattan

Answer: How long should I wait after a rhinoplasty to get a lip lift? I don't mind combining a lip lift with a rhinoplasty, but waiting 6 months should be enough time between the procedures if they were not done simultaneously.

Answer: Lip Lift after Rhinoplasty Very good question. Many surgeons will recommend scheduling these two surgeries simultaneously so you can achieve full results with just one time under anesthesia and one recovery process. If you are having the procedures separately, two to three months after rhinoplasty may be appropriate. Make sure you are working with an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon to ensure you are ready to undergo a second procedure and that you will achieve an optimal outcome. Good luck to you!

Answer: Cosmetic Plastic Surgery -- Lip lift, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation Often, surgeons combine these procedures into one procedure which results in one recovery time for the patient. This is something that can be done during the same procedure. I would follow up with your surgeon to see what they recommend for your case since you've already had one surgery. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Lip lift after rhinoplasty It's safe to have lip lift done not sooner than 6 months post-rhino. Your nose needs to fully heal before planning any other procedure, even if it's in loca anesthesia. best regards, Piotr Osuch, MD, PhD
