Thank you for your question, five months is enough time for you to heal completely and see your final results.
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Each doctor has their own protocol It is very important that you talk to him about your concerns and goals. I recommend my patients not to sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. If you have any concerns, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)
Sitting on your buttocks initially after surgey may not be the best thing in terms of fat survival. But certaily at this point you should be free to do so. I think after 3-6 weeks it should be fine for most patients.
Sit. Sit down right now. Anything over 6 weeks is overkill. I make my patients avoid sitting on the grafted area for a week or so and my graft retention rate is outstanding. Fat grafting in general is very technique dependent. Some tell you not to sit for months so as to have a reason for you not getting a great result. I'm not suggesting your surgeon is one of those few surgeons who do so, I'm just saying that some of us tend to want to blame the patient for the graft failing. If your surgeon was a board certified plastic surgeon who does a ton of BBls you are in good hands. Ask him. of her, and I'm sure they will agree with me and invite you to sit.
You should be able to sit right now without causing any damage to the fat cells. If they are alive, they should remain alive. I always recommend sitting on something soft such as a pillow as you are doing. I would also recommend getting up if you are beginning to have any discomfort in your buttocks. It should otherwise be perfectly safe to sit at 5 months.
These are really variations on a theme. Both procedures add volume to make the buttocks project, but a shelf booty has an exaggerated takeoff from the small of the back which makes the buttocks sometimes APPEAR more projected.

Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. After a BBL, only about 70% of the transferred fat cells will survive, so it is normal to see a minor reduction in your buttocks. If you have any concerns, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon. Good luck :)
