So what are my options? My doctor suggested possible steroid injections at 6 months to hasten the dissolving. What will I look like with injections--will they make me look puffy? I am very uncomfortable and sometimes they tighten at night. I did not know recovery would take so long and be so uncomfortable. My eyes are still tight and pull at the corners.

		I would ask your doctor what type of sutures he used
	
		Steroid injections are meant to bring swelling down, not dissolve suture so I am not sure what the use of steroids in this instance is
	
		You may need a second opinion if you are not getting the answers you are looking for

First find out if your sutures are in fact dissolvable. If they aren't then you may gradually get used to this and it may become comfortable with time. The tightness around your eyes may also resolve with time. Your tissues may not have relaxed and expanded, yet.

If you have a tight feeling from ear to ear under the chin, you may have a permanent suture placed in that area. This is not a common technique, but some facelift surgeons use this to improve the cervicomental angle and give the neck a tighter look.
