So I got kicked in the nose really hard on accident. It hurt when I touched certain parts of my nose. I was told to wait until the next day to see if it gets better. It just feels the same as yesterday!! Mostly my rights side and slightly pain on the bridge. It’s not bruised and it is not crooked. Help? (It also looks bigger)

Answer: Is my nose broken?? Trauma to the nose with continued pain and swelling could be an indication of damage to the nasal bones or cartilage. Not being bruised or crooked is definitely a good sign, but there is no way to know for sure that there is not an injury to internal structures without a proper examination. I would recommend an in-person examination so that a surgeon can thoroughly examine the inside and outside of your nose from different angles, feel the tissues, and make more specific recommendations. Answer: Is my nose broken? Trauma to the nose can cause a variety of issues such as a non-displaced nasal fracture, a displaced nasal fracture, a deviated septum, and a dislocation of the upper lateral cartilages off the nasal bones. An x-ray will be required to make a determination about a nasal fracture. In addition, an internal and external examination is required to make a determination about whether or not the nasal bones need to be reset surgically.
