Hi I had a hysterectomy in 2005 and now my mons pubic is huge, it protrudes and hangs down. I have also just had a laparoscopy and been told my small bowel has dropped down and is sitting in the place of my womb over my cervix. I am so depressed by all of this and it's effecting my life and confidence . I have been told that they can not do anything about my bowel or my mons pubic so any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated .

Weight gain in the first weeks after tummy tucks and liposuction is very common and is, as you have mentioned, the result of fluid retention. Much of this fluid will be shed by 3 to 4 weeks after surgery and you should be back to either your presurgical weight or even less by then.
