Hey all! I'm looking for a more heart shaped face. I can't quite determine if I have a round or square shape but the lower half of my face has always been too wide for my liking. I also have cheek fat at the bottom where my jaw is. I'm thinking chin filler, but I'm not sure if jaw filler can fix my round/square shape. Im not sure if its from cheek fat or masseter. Im open to all recommendations and would love some advice. Thank you for the read ♡
Answer: Achieving a Heart-Shaped Face: Non-Surgical Options for Facial Contouring To achieve a sharper and more feminine lower face, there are several non-surgical options you might consider. Here’s a brief overview of potential treatments: Chin Filler: This can help in creating a more defined chin and enhancing the overall shape of your face, contributing to a more heart-shaped appearance. Jawline Contouring with Filler: This can help in slimming and defining the jawline, which may address concerns about a wide lower face. It can also help balance the proportions of your face. Botox for Masseter Reduction: If the width of your lower face is due to enlarged masseter muscles (often from teeth grinding or clenching), Botox can be used to relax these muscles, leading to a slimmer appearance over time. Buccal Fat Removal: Although this is a surgical option, it targets the cheek fat and can significantly change the contour of your face, making it appear more sculpted. Kybella: This injectable treatment can help reduce submental fullness (double chin) and may also be used off-label to target other small areas of fat. It's important to consult with a qualified cosmetic professional who can assess your facial structure and recommend the best treatment plan tailored to your goals. They can help determine whether the fullness is due to fat, muscle, or bone structure and suggest the most effective approach.

Answer: Your question is difficult to answer without profile photos. Based on your up-close photos, you appear to have a feminine and narrow chin appearance. It is conceivable that the height of your chin is a bit small. Depending on your examination, chin filler, or a chin implant, may or may not be beneficial. Please consider re-asking a question with additional photographs. Thank you. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Feminizing the lower face Hello, The answer to your question would most likely be a combination of both Botox and filler. Using Botox, we can relax the masseters, platysmal band, DAO and chin muscles to achieve a slimmer appearance in the lower face. Adding filler to the chin and jawline would further enhance these results, creating a more sculpted, "heart" shaped appearance that you desire. For filler in the chin and jawline, product choice would be decided based off of your in-person consultation and evaluation, but generally speaking we use either Juvéderm Volux or Radiesse. Sometimes a combination of both is used.

Answer: Lower face definition Unfortunately as we age, our face becomes an upside down "V" shape, and we no longer have that love heart shape. You still have the nice point in the chin and it just needs to be accentuated a little more. There are multiple ways to make the lower face more "snatched" and make it less round. These include Toxin injections into the jawline (known as the Nefertiti face lift) and the bands in the neck, filler injections along the jaw to the chin to sharpen it and sometimes PDO thread lift.
