Would chin filler help minimize the appearance of my overbite? (Photo)

I have a overbite that I'm wanting to tem mask with filler but I'm wondering if it will help my overbite at all or is my overbite too bad for filler to do anything for it??? Also since my chin dimples a bit when I close my mouth but it doesn't when my mouth is open would that cause the filler to move??? Thank you

Chin filler can be a useful tool for aesthetic camouflage of a mild to moderate overbite. By adding projection and vertical length to the chin, it can help bring better harmony to the profile and balance out the facial proportions, making the overbite appear less prominent from the side view.

However, if the overbite is severe, filler alone may have limited impact on truly masking the structural difference. In such cases, orthodontic or surgical correction is generally required to address the functional aspect of the bite.

Regarding the chin dimple and the movement of filler: dimpling when your mouth is closed is usually related to hyperactivity of the mentalis muscle. Filler can be placed in a way to smooth out the surface, but combining it with a small dose of Botox in the mentalis can help reduce dimpling more effectively and stabilize the filler. Movement alone shouldn't cause filler migration if it's placed properly and the product used is appropriate for the area.

In summary:

Chin filler can improve the appearance of a mild to moderate overbite.

It won't fix the bite functionally but may help enhance facial balance.

Addressing chin dimpling might require both filler and neuromodulators for best results.

Based on your photos, you appear to have a recessive chin appearance, and skin dimpling on your chin. I believe the most direct way to approach your issue is with a rubberized silicone chin implant that can be done with local anesthetic, and minimal inconvenience and downtime. You would be an excellent candidate for chin filler and botox. Botox will help relax the pebbling appearance you see in your chin and will also prevent it from "pulling up" so much. Thats something you will need to maintain about 3-4 times a year. Chin filler will help to balance out your lower face and give more chin projection, minimizing the appearance of the overbite.
