My crown doesn't fit right, no contact. Is my dentist legally obligated to replace my crown?

I had a root canal done about 1 1/2 years ago. I back to original dentist and 3 others, they said nothing wrong with my root canal. Fourth dentist said no contact with the next tooth, food getting trapped. So I went back to original dentist, he put a filling in the gap. He won't replace the crown. Is this legal? Can I report him, or do I have any recourse for this crappy fitting crown?
