I just had an endoscopic brow lift, buccal fat removal, & chin lipo. I want to get a rhinoplasty with a different doctor, how long should I wait before getting it? I want to get them close together so I can heal all at once.

Hello and thank you for your question. I recommend waiting ideally at least 4-6 weeks before getting the rhinoplasty, but you can get it as early as 2-3 weeks after. Bottom line, by now, you should be more than fine to get the rhinoplasty if you haven't already.

Rhinoplasty truly a surgery of millimeters- and it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually).

If you haven't already undergone your rhinoplasty and if you're open to a second opinion, I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. The chin lipo will most likely effect the appearance of your nose and may influence the way the surgeon does his rhinoplasty. I would recommend you wait 6 months from the date of surgery before undergoing a rhinoplasty.

The rhinoplasty could be done as early as a week after your previous surgery. Just discuss this with both surgeons before preceding with rhinoplasty

For patient safety reasons, it's probably best to separate the procedures out by at least one month, since both these procedures are usually performed under general anesthesia. Rhinoplasty is the most difficult procedure to perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery, so choose your surgeon wisely based on extensive experience

The swelling of the soft tissue around the brows and the chin needs to settle down which takes around 4 months. Swelling of the chin shape, the forehead, and root of the nose where it meets the forehead can alter the way the nose appears. Refining the nose shape depends on being able to accurately see these other structures of the face so that the nose can be adjusted to fit the overall face.
