How soon do you see results after a bbl?

The number of cc's do not mean better results.  Surgeons process the fat before they inject it in different ways leading to different concentrations of the same number of total fat cells.  The importance is to find a surgeon who you feel will give you the result you desire.  You should see your most of the result the same day, however it takes 3-6 months for all of the swelling to completely subside and for you to see the final result.

It can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation, discomfort and irregularities are normal.

In the hands of a skilled board certified plastic surgeon, you will see results from your Brazilian Butt Lift immediately.  You will notice more projection of your buttocks and/or hips right away.  The great news is, you will likely look even better with time as the swelling goes down in the areas where liposculpture is performed.  I tell my patients that it takes up to a year for all the swelling to resolve. The amount of fat injected (number of ccs) does not predict your result.  I perform several Brazilian Butt Lifts each week in my Atlanta area surgery center.  I never commit to a volume of fat to be injected before surgery.  There are a lot of variables involved and I find that I can't predict how much fat it will take to achieve a given look.

Your projection and hip size will be affected immediately. Long term results are usually evident after 2-3 months as the swelling subsides. Expect a reduction in size of about a third. I routinely transfer between 1200 to 1800 cc to each side to compensate for the loss. Seek a plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of these procedures, has great reviews and photos, and is an expert in this field.

You will notice a difference immediately on the projection of you buttock area. After the swell goes down you could see definitely results. The swell depends on the aggression of the procedure made and how your body reacts. This could take 3-4 months. Many patients question the timespan of the fat injected into the buttocks. I will say that when fat is well prepared and injected into the right place it lasts for years, even after losing weight.

Results can be seen the next day after a BBL.      The right amount of fat must be used.  If fat is forced into an area the blood supply is compressed and the fat does not survive near as well.   Think about it and this makes good sense.   My Best,  Dr C
