What should I look like after microneedling and how long should it take for my skin to return to normal? If it leaves red marks that take days to heal, is that too aggressive? If it leaves my skin pink and I look fine the next day, is that not aggressive enough? Is more aggressive better, or is it just more?
Answer: Microneedling Thank you for your question in regards to microneedling. For facial rejuvenation, you should have mild erythema initially after treatment which can last up to 24 hours. Pin-point bleeding and excessive redness does not need to occur for facial rejuvenation. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Answer: Microneedling Using the Aquagold Fine touch (Micro-Needling) we are able to directly infuse the skin with whatever ingredients we find best for each individual. The Aquagold fine touch uses a microchannel technology to effectively deliver ingredients right into the surface of the skin. Using twenty individual micro-needles that are each thinner than a human hair we are penetrating into the skin to deliver specific treatments. Can be done on face, neck and decolette to treat any textural irregularities including: Fine lines & wrinkles, large pores, acne scars or uneven-ness.This is a new technology that provides more balanced, natural-looking results. Unlike a dermal roller, which delivers a solution by rolling needles on the skin. These painlessly penetrate the epidermis, allowing the doctor to deliver Botox or a different biologic like hyaluronic acid at consistent depths, just below the epidermis. Minimal Downtime. Recommended monthly.

Answer: Microneedling Hello Lorinaa, Thank you for your question. The microneedling healing process using PRP during your treatment is usually 3-4 days but can take longer to heal depending on the patients age, health, and other factors. The common healing is very red and swelling the day of the procedure. If you go home and rest after your procedure by day 2 the skin will still be red and tight, you may have some swelling but should be improving, by day 3 the skin is starting to calm down, most redness is gone, by day 4 redness is gone and you may feel dry with slight flaking. Including pictures would have helped to give you a better opinion. When you say red marks, I am unsure without pictures. The overall skin is red and swollen, you may experience some bruising, very common under the eyes. There should not be red marks. Red marks can happen when a needle is dragging. The skin can appear pink after being treated and that does not mean the treatment was not beneficial. During microneedling you are doing a controlled injury to the skin. Your experienced provider changes the depths and speed throughout your treatment. Each patient responds differently and each patient has different skin issues and concerns that would contribute how aggressive you need to be to get the most beneficial correction. Hope this helps,

Answer: What should my skin look like after microneedling? Hi Lorinaa, First of, the depth used is dependent on your skin condition and the results you wish to achieve. For instance, if you have scars, you would need more aggressive treatment. You would appear red with some scratches. The next day, you expect to be pinkish and still sensitive. However, on the 5th day, you should be fine. Being too aggressive does not mean better. All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.

Answer: Microneedling, PRP, depth, and energy levels So many variables come into play including- your skin sensitivities, the depth of microneedling, the number of passes, the density of needles, if any energy is used (e.g. RF), the current state of your skin, if PRP is used (heals faster), skin care after the procedure, etc..etc... bottom line, takes anywhere between 1-4 days, depending on the PLAN. Your specialist will discuss all of the above, and factor many more variables to come up with an accurate recovery time. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
