Post C02 treatment - you need to wash your skin with a gentle cleanser and if you have pin point bleeding do vinegar soaks. Keep the skin hydrated with aqauphor, the more hydrated you are the less itchy you will be.
I recommend following up with your Doctor about after care. I recommend skin care with vitamin c, b5 hydrator, silicone based scar gels with growth factors and enzymatic washes with papaya enzyme. PDT therapy can help calm inflammation. Typically I recommend adding clear and brilliant, fraxel, viva 4-6 weeks after co2 to improve results along with microneedling/prp to get the best outcomes with texture and tone. Please see an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
There are many ways the itching after a CO2 procedure can be treated. Make sure you are following your physician's directions. Most physicians will have their own protocol Gentle cleansing and a thick moisturizer will often help with discomfort and itching. I use the EltaMD products such as the gentle cleanser and laser balm ointment. Some physicians will add hydrocortisone for the itching. You should call your provider if you are having questions/concerns. They can best advise you.
Some degree of itching is normal post CO2 laser. Make sure you are following the skin regimen that was recommended for post care. You should be doing vinegar soaks and cleaning with gentle cleanser and also keeping the skin very hydrated with the Vaniply ointment. The more hydrated you are, the less itching you are likely to have. If it is severe or continues contact your doctor.
