I had filler injected in my nose in August of 2018 and it still hasn’t dissolved. The filler sits in an unflattering position in one area of my nose and it bothers me so I am looking into getting it dissolved. Can an isolated area of filler be dissolved? What is the downtime like? will I look weird (like deflated or slightly off) or normal in the days following the injection of hyaluronidase? Thank you!
Answer: What to expect when you have nose filler dissolved As long as you had a hyaluronic acid filler like Juvederm or Restylane injected into your nose, you can have the filler dissolved using hyaluronidase. The agent is injected into the areas where the filler is still located and your nose will return to its original state once the filler is fully dissolved. The treatment is straightforward as long as an experienced, board-certified dermatologist administers it. There is little discomfort and no downtime afterward.

Answer: Hylenex is ideal for filler reversal in the nose Hylauronidase has many advantages and should be considered in patients who are unhappy with their results or in acute cases of overfilling or occlusion. Its often better to reverse filler and restart then to deal with long term edema. Filler migration and permanence is a very common problem because there are many different types of HA fillers on the market and each is specified for a specific part of the face. Use of highly cohesive fillers on thin skin may cause swelling and nodularity. If patients have filler migration or nodules, we recommend a combination approach of filler reversal with enzymes Hylenex and Hyaluronidase in different strengths to dissolve the filler. We may also need to add Kenalog to the mix in order to reduce fibrous tissue. If the filler does not dissolve, it either means the filler is not HA material or we need more enzyme. The HA reversal can be combined with other lasers and skin treatments at the same time, and it usually (usually) does not affect adjacent tissue. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Dissolving a Liquid Rhinoplasty While it is impossible to make a thorough assessment without at least a photo or two, I can tell you that hyaluronidase is highly effective in adjusting liquid rhinoplasty procedures when used by an experienced, board-certified dermatologist. The process takes a careful hand and precision in terms of needle placement and dosing amount, but the results can be quite satisfying. This procedure only works with hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm and Restylane. If you have another type of filler, you will have no choice but to wait until the filler dissolves on its own.

Answer: Magic with a needle As my two esteemed colleagues stated, in the right hand hyularonidase can correct improper or excessively replaced filler to the nose tip. This is why you should have a filler correction before a surgical correction to see how your "new nose " really suits you.

Answer: Dissolving filler using hyaluronidase It's a relatively simple procedure as long as a hyaluronic acid based filler like Restylane or Juvederm was used. The filler would need to be dissolved using hyaluronidase. There is almost no downtime and your nose should return to its pretreatment state once the filler has dissolved.
