Hello 2020FisherDollT, I appreciate your questions! Every patient is unique and there’s no an ideal weight for a successful Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery. With VASER Liposuction and fat transfer to the buttocks (BBL) you can get rid of excess fat from specific areas such as arms, back, abs and flanks and transferred it to your hips and buttocks for a beautifully contoured figure. I would suggest consulting with an experienced plastic surgeon to assess your candidacy for BBL based on your general health status, age, body shape, skin laxity and Body Mass Index (BMI), among other factors. Moreover, I would recommend asking your plastic surgeon if he/she requires you to gain weight or not depending on whether he/she is planning to do a full body Liposuction or just a limited Liposuction to harvest the fat. Best wishes! Dr. De La Cruz.
No minimum weight exists. Your BMI falls within the normal range. I have operated on more than a few 105 to 120 lb women and achieved very nice results. However, I would have to see pictures or examine you to make a determination.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
hello thank you for your question and provided information as well..based on your question, it is not based on a standard weight for a bbl. My recommendation is that you be evaluated in person by a certified plastic surgeon who will see your case by looking at and measuring the areas where you have a high percentage of fat and determine if you apply for a procedure.why be able to evaluate you is difficult without a photo .
There is no absolute minimum weight for undergoing surgery.Patients interested in BBL often ask questions of the necessary volume for transfer. Ultimately, the answer is two pronged and based upon both patient expectations and the nature of fat graft themselves.BBL and fat transfer is ultimately dependent upon the long term viability of the fat grafted. That being said the resorption rates of fat transferred can be significant. Clinically this translates to a progressive loss of grafted volume in the months following the procedure.I tell patients that they can expect resorption or graft loss on the order of 50% (at most; prepare for the worst and hope for significantly better). Additionally some harvest volume is lost in processing the fat graft prior to transfer. Thus I generally recommend that patients seeking even the most minimal volume increase have adequate reserves for grafting of 500 cc per cheek (at minimum). This means that harvest will usually exceed 1 liter (assuming for processing loss). However, it important to remember that these are recommendations and can be amended based upon a patient's particular expectations. Some patients only want a subtle change and may be willing to accept a less significant result. But the rule still applies you have to have the fat to transfer the fat. With regards to your specific question, it is difficult to comment on candidacy without photos. However, at your height and weight it is unlikely that you will have significant reserves for transfer. The best candidates are healthy and have reached a healthy stable weight (preferably with a BMI < 30).As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).
Hello dear! Thanks for the provided information. There is no minimum weight for a BBL. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.Good luck :)
