It is easy to undergo a face/neck lift under tum. local whenever it is needed which usually is about every 10 yrs. Time to look great again.
Hi Kbh2, thanks for your question! Yes, a face lift can be done again later in life if necessary. As we continue to age, our skin continues to sag, and a revision face lift is a long-lasting option that helps tighten the skin and lift the face. I suggest consulting with a plastic surgeon for more information, best of luck!
Yes, these are called secondary facelifts. They can be done and in many cases be easier to perform as the skin flaps are more robust and the dissection plane is easier to discern.
It’s not only OK, but expected that a mini lift or facelift (rhytidectomy) will have to be repeated every 8 to 10 years. While a mini lift and facelift are extremely rejuvenating, we still continue to age and gravity still pulls the face downward. Many people have 3 or 4 facelifts over the course of a lifetime. As long as they have an excellent facial plastic surgeon, they can look terrific, healthy and natural. I hope this helps.
This is often a question I hear from patients and the answer is yes. Different types of facelifts have different longevity and it is not uncommon that after 10+ years some of the skin laxity and jowling that was initially present returns. Revision facelift surgery can be more challenging due to scarring and you should make your surgeon aware you had a previous facelift. This can also alter the incision planning, extent of procedure and possible need for additional procedures. All in all however, revision facelifts can be performed safely with excellent results. Speaking with your surgeon will help you determine what is best for you. Good luck
Thank you for your question. Yes, a facelift can be repeated and many patients do. Please make your surgeon aware of your previous facelift. Facelift Revision normally takes longer as there is scar tissue etc. Please make sure you find a reputable and qualified plastic surgeon who can assess you properly to give you a realistic idea of what outcome you can achieve. All The Best
It is certainly possible to repeat a facelift, or for that matter more limited cheek or neck lifts, several years later. The key to a good, natural result is for the surgeon to avoid overdoing things. Surprisingly, there is usually less loose skin that requires tightening the second time around. Dissection and repositioning of facial tissues must respect any changes that may have occurred in the first surgery. The bottom line is that a second or even third lift can be safely done and can create very pleasing results. Seek out a board-certified plastic surgeon who has lots of facelifting experience.
Thanks for your question. Sure. A second facelift procedure can be performed at any time. There are few different considerations in that situation that your surgeon will be aware of (different incision choices, the need to add volume such as with fat grafting, skin rejuvenation, avoiding bleeding and nerve injury, etc.). I would suggest meeting with a trusted plastic surgeon near you for advice. Best wishes.
Hi, yes facelifts can and are often repeated at intervals of 10 - 15 years depending on how the face has aged. I have performed many facelifts for over 30 years and have performed many minimally, invasive SMAS facelifts. Some of my patients have had several facelifts spanning the length of my entire career. Non smiling photos of your face from the front and side would help in the evaluation. If you have "jowls”, in the lower face, these are sagging facial tissues and the main indication for some form of a SMAS facelift. The underlying SMAS layer, of the face, must be dissected, lifted, trimmed and re-sutured (not merely folded or suspended with threads or sutures that will not last). The excess skin is then removed and the facelift incisions closed. My most popular SMAS facelift is the minimally invasive, short incision SMAS facelift that has all the benefits of more invasive facelifts (traditional, mid-face, deep plane, cheek lift and subperiosteal facelifts) but with these added benefits:very small incisions and no incisions extend or are placed within the hair.minimal tissue dissection = less bruising and swelling = rapid recovery ( several days instead of weeks or months with the more invasive type facelifts mentioned)can be performed in 90 minutes or less, with or without general anesthesiano incisions within the hair = no hair lossexcess fat can be removed from the face and neckexcess skin removed from the face and neckcheeks, chin and jaw line can be augmented with dermal fillers (I prefer Restylane Lyft) or facial implantsmost patients fly back home to parts all over the world in as little as 3 days post-op I combine facial shaping with every facelift procedure. When jowls are present, these should be done in concert and not alone or separately in order to create a naturally, more attractive face. Following my beauty principles, women look the most feminine, youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces. Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round in the front. Cheek augmentation with a dermal filler or using cheek implants for a permanent enhancement will create full, round cheeks that will feminize the entire face. In contrast, men look chiseled and handsome with angularity created in the cheeks, chin and mandibular angles. If the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy and the lower face look short that de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a double chin. Chin augmentation using a chin implant will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face. I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick and highly effective.Hope this helps.
FaceTite can internally tighten the skin in the lower face and neck. After all the skin has been heated and contracted, we shape the neck with liposuction to give definition and remove stubborn pockets of fat. In one quick treatment, we can tighten skin, remove fat, and contour the lower face,...
Thanks for your question. Yes, I think you can go back to any skin care regimen that you'd like at this point. Your skin looks great in the photo! Keep up the good work. Best wishes.
Hello and thanks for the question. There are a variety of options for re-suspending the tissue during a mini-facelift. For the deeper layers, it would be very unusual for staples to be used. Generally the muscle layer is resuspended with some type of suture, either absorbable or...
