Dysport after lower and upper blepharoplasty

Question

where is the best placement for dysport for crows feet 4 months post lower and upper bleph with fat repositioning and eye lift? I am fearful that if I have dysport injected into my crows feet area it will relax the muscle that I just had tightened. Is this a legitimate fear?

The muscle paralysis caused by Dysport is not likely to noticeably affect the tightening obtained during an eyelid lift surgery.

Not to worry, botox and dysport are safe to use after blepharoplasty. Deeper wrinkles need a combination approach with Botox and lasers, microneedling/prp and fillers. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

You can still have Dysport injections after an upper and lower blepharoplasty.  If done by an experienced injector it should only enhance your results, not cause issues.  The specific location of the injections doesn't necessarily change because of your surgery.

Dysport locks the release of a chemical called acetylcholine, which triggers the muscle contractions that create wrinkles. Dysport essentially paralyze the muscles and stops them from contracting. Results from these treatments are visible within 3-7 days with results that can last anywhere from 3-4 months. Having treatment to the crowsfeet after a blepharoplasty is a great way to enhance your results. It would be best to wait until you are fully healed from surgery. Hope this helps.

It is safe to inject the crow's feet area after undergoing a blepharoplasty.  Many surgeons will wait until your first postoperative visit to perform the injection to avoid displacement from surgical swelling.  The treatment should enhance the results you have already achieved.
