Hello, I’m a woman in my early thirties. When I smile, the skin underneath my chin folds, I get several folds on each side of my mouth, and the skin next to my nose bunches up. It’s very aging. This worsened after I had teeth extracted for braces. Botox in the chin didn’t help. What procedure is necessary to fix this?

Facial sculpting and contouring can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Countour, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial balance. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

You can go for dermal fillers. The loss of volume when you smile can be compensated by fillers such as hyaluronic acid which will make your skin plump and fuller thus getting rid of those folds.
