Microneedling with collagen PIN vs. RF microneedling (legend w/ voluderm by Lumenis) vs. ResurFX erbium laser resurfaced?

Hello, thanks for asking this question. The neck is often neglected because it is a tricky area to treat. Any of the treatments like micro needling, lasers or radio frequency will help, but because the skin is not as resilient as the face, there is higher risk of complications on the neck. Microneedling, especially with PRP is a good treatment with almost no risk of scarring. Radiofrequency Microneeding, again, combined with PRP will give even better results but care must be taken not to be too aggressive to avoid scars. Ablative lasers, I find are too aggressive on the neck unless you do a very light fractional laser treatment. I find the best results with subdermal treatments like Thermitight or Renuvion. Ultherapy combined with PRP is also an excellent treatment with almost no down time. 

Our office has many different treatments for scars depending on the depth of atrophy or hypertrophy. Scars require a combination approach using our HI DEF protocol which uses a combination of lasers, topical scar modulation, and RF treatments to pixelate scars, improve contour, reduce hyperpigmentation, and improve the visibility of the scars so that they are no longer visible in ambient light. Hyper-redness in scars can be improved with V beam laser, Excel V, BBL, IPL, and Venus RF to improve the redness and reduce the visibility of deep scars. Fractional Thulium laser and clear & brilliant can also reduce the inflammation and redness of the scar when combined with topical therapy. Fractional lasers such as Fraxel, erbium, and CO2 laser can be combined with radio frequency and also fractional RF to improve textual issues and microtopography. Subcision and TCA cross are also used for deep ice pick scars and narrow valley scars in order to improve the micro texture.
