I am a 17 year old girl. I have a small frame, as I am 5'5 and 110lbs and 30DD has been the closest fit bra for me for the past 4 years. Even then, there is literally no space between my breasts and they take up a large amount of my chest. When I poke the space between my breasts it's bouncy, like fat or something. I have seen a docotor and they said that I just have large breasts for my body. My mom and sister don't have similar breasts at all. I feel my breasts are fat and ugly. Please Help.
Answer: Breast Hypertrophy and ? Congenital Symmastia Treatment?
I'm sorry to hear about the problems your breasts are causing you at your young age. Based on your description, you may be suffering physically and psychosocially from juvenile breast hypertrophy; your breasts are relatively large for your frame. Based on your good description, you may also be dealing with congenital “symmastia" referring to the presence of tissue between the breasts, so that there is no well-defined cleavage area.
At some point, you may benefit from breast reduction and/or liposuction surgery. It is not too early to learn about the procedures available as well as the potential risk/complications associated with these procedures. You may find the attached link helpful as you do your “homework”.
When the time is right, seek consultation with board-certified plastic surgeons who can demonstrate significant experience helping patients in your situation. Ask to see lots of examples of their work and communicate your goals carefully.
Best wishes.

Answer: Can liposuction create a wider cleavage and reduce my breast size as well?
Thank you for your question. Being 17 years old, you most likely have firm glandular breasts with not a lot of fat. Without an in person consultation and evaluation it is hard to give an exact answer. The shape of the breasts is defined mainly by the fat content. It is possible to reduce these areas with liposuction, but you might not go down by a cup size. See a board certified plastic surgeon (not your pediatrician or family practitioner) with extensive experience in all aspects of breast surgery for a consultation and examination. Good luck.

Answer: Breast reduction surgery at age 17
It is unlikely that at your age liposuction of this area of the breasts would make any difference. If you have concerns then consult a plastic surgeon for his opinion. Most of this tissue is breast tissue and will not liposuction out. You may however be a good candidate for a breast reduction, considering your age have your parents go with you to your consultation and help you make this important lifetime decision. You do not have synmastia, this is a problem related to implants and not to naturally occurring breast tissue.

Answer: Breast issue and cleavage
It may be possible to refine the central chest. In some individuals they can have the appearance of a raised sternal region due to excessive fatty tissue. Best to be seen in person with parent permission.
