When I Get a Breast Reduction Would the Surgeon Be Able to Remove the Hidradenitis Suppurativa Scarring? (photo)

I am 20 and I am planning on getting a breast reduction. I also have hidradenitis suppurativa which has caused major pain primarily on my breast. I also have excessive scarring mainly under and on the side of my left breast. What are some good ways to get rid of the scarring in the mean time? My dermatologist has only prescribed doxycycline hyclate 100mg, would retin-a also be a good option?

If tendinitis is an active infection in the armpit. If it can be brought under control with antibiotics I see no reason why cannot be surgically treated at the same time is a breast reduction

Removing hidradenitis concurrent with breast reduction is more challenging then it seems and may compromise the reduction result. Typically hidradenitis areas can be colonized by bacteria well beyond normal skin. I recommend treating these areas separately and focusing on one area at a time.
