Lower left back pain after rhinoplasty. Besides a pain killer, what can I do to actually treat this?

More than likely this was due to positioning on the operating table but there are other causes as well. Report this to your surgeon.

Pain in your back can be related to positioning on the OR table or from the position in your bed.  Best to be evaluated in person.

Thanks for your question. Occasionally patients may have some muscle soreness and discomfort after surgery. This can be from the medications used to put you to sleep, sometimes they cause muscle contractions and soreness. Additionally sometimes just lying on the table for a few hours can cause some back pain. As long as there are no associated symptoms such as numbness, weakness or tingling it should resolve with some warm compress and massage. If you are having other symptoms, or the pain does not improve certainly seek medical advice. Hope this helps.
