What color is the fat before you do a BBL?

Thank you for your question. You are correct the fat is a yellow/orange in color. There are small blood vessels that run through fat cells in order to keep it alive. Both fat and small amounts of blood do get evacuated.Before liposuction begins there is infiltration of numbing medicine (lidocaine with epi) and saline that happens (wet liposuction). During a BBL there is a specific type of canister that is used to house the fat. In this canister the fat is separated from blood and numbing solution. Once the fat has separated it is then drawn into syringes and injected.

Certainly the fat is yellow and thick, but the fat has their veins that provides blood and oxygen so it can survive (like everything in your body), so, when you do liposuction it also comes with blood and body fluids (like water) so that's what you see in the containers; and them the plastic surgeon clean the fat and take all that can be transferred.Hope this could help.
