I am 4 days post-op after having a short scar face and neck lift. I still have significant swelling and bruising but it is starting to improve. My biggest concern is the looks of my cheeks in front of my ears. The skin appears lumpy. Will this smooth out over time and if so, how long will it take to look more natural?

The only way you are going to solve this problem is with an examination of your facial skeletal structure in physical examination. If you have had orthodontia then your orthodontist can guide you best. If not, a plastic surgeon or oromaxillofacial surgeon will be able to sort this out for you
You can control and decrease post swelling in many ways:
1. Continue to use topical ice/frozen peas over the swollen areas.
2. Arrange manual lymphatic drainage by a trained therapist to help mobilize and eliminate the swelling edema.
3. Use a diuretic with the OK from your surgeon.
