Does Morpheus 8 melt fat during facial treatments? I've read both yes and no during research. I would like to tighten my jowls using a non surgical route, as they are not that bad, but I don't want to risk doing anything that will make me look older in the process. I also do not want to jeopardize a possible facelift later down the road due to too much fat loss.
Answer: Modern Women's Health by Dr. Jukes To be completely transparent, this is where picking a licensed professional is very important. Each setting is customized per patient concern. Providers are able to intensify the setting aka "fat melt" for things like the jawline. In clinical settings, we recommend providers NOT treat undereye area or upper face with heat setting as we do NOT want to lose fat in these places. This overtime, will contribute to facial fat loss resulting in aging look.

Answer: Morpheus8 has different settings in which fat melting can be avoided. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Morpheus 8 and fat melting? Thanks JsJ1213 for your question! The simple answer is that depending on the depth and energy level, Morpheus does not significantly reduce fat; rather, it focuses on skin tightness and regeneration. It is not intended to melt away significant quantities of fat, but it can help achieve a mild slimming effect by promoting collagen formation and enhancing skin texture. Because of this, it's a fantastic way to treat jowls and other aging symptoms without running the danger of overtreating the region and maybe jeopardizing future surgical alternatives. Although the main purpose of Morpheus8 is skin tightening and rejuvenation, deeper settings can contribute to a subtle fat reduction effect, particularly in areas like the jawline and neck. The upper dermis is the main aim of more superficial Settings, which emphasize skin tightening and collagen activation. Deeper Settings go deeper into the subcutaneous fat layer and dermis. More fat loss may result from this, particularly in places like the submental region (double chin) where there is an abundance of fat and we want to melt these fats for the client. In the end, speaking with a skilled and knowledgeable Board-certified plastic surgeon is the best way to find out if Morpheus is correct for you and what depth is suitable. They are able to determine your unique goals and desires and suggest the most effective course of action. Always choose a reputable provider with experience in using Morpheus to ensure optimal results and minimize potential side effects. In our office we provide Morpheus Ignite Burst which is the best, most updated version of Morpheus treatment platform. The advantages include faster, and more efficient treatment with very little pain and quickest recovery. This is due to advanced technology utilized in this version of device. Hope this was helpful! Best wishes, Dr Ali Sajjadian TRIPLE Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Morpheus8 is NOT going to melt fat when done correctly! There are many settings on the Morpheus8 machine that has specific functions. Each setting is taylored for that specific patient. If you want just skin tightening, then there are settings for that and specific number of pulses and passes with the headpiece for each different area of the face or body. If you need fat shrinkage, then there are specific settings for that. Often patients need both skin tightening and fat shrinkage and then we use specific protocols for that. An example would be jowls. They usually need both. When you tighten skin up, sometimes it appears thinner but it isn't. It is just tighter and smoother looking because you have fixed the bulgy sagging skin on the face. You almost never can lose fat on the face with Morpheus8 when you are only using numbing cream since it would be too painful to use the higher settings needed to get deep into the fat layer and melt the fat. That usually is only done under local injection and/or iv sedation. I like doing all my Morpheus8 under local with iv sedation for complete comfort and I can really get good skin tightening with the higer settings and have it all done in 1 session which you can't get with multiple whimpy settings.
