Should I get a breast augmentation surgery if I have ABS?

I would get that cleared up prior to surgery. That's a tricky scenario though and you may want to treat that empirically prior to surgery. In summary, I would treat with antibiotics for 3-5 days prior, then do the breast augmentation and then stay on antibiotics for at least 1-3 days after surgery. Best Wishes!!

This question needs to be answered by your surgeon as opinions may vary. It is always best to be infection free when having surgery. Your surgeon may request a second urinalysis to verify the findings and a decision can be made.

You should be able to undergo your schedule breast augmentation procedure, but I would certainly discuss your questions and concerns with your plastic surgeon.

In some patients with asymptomatic bacteruria, I would recommend a short course of prophylactic antibiotics used to treat UTI such as Bactrim.
