When can I go back to Reformers Pilates Classes? (photo)

Hello, before performing any physical exercise, you must receive consent by your surgeon.  Every surgeon is different and his or her answers may vary.  I know, that at our office we usually allow light walking at this point, however we do not allow a lot o lifting, especially in the arms, even though there are not weights.  Best advice, seek instructions from your surgeon.

This is what I generally recommend to my patients: After three days, you can start normal non-strenuous activities. No exercise, but you can leisurely walk around. After three weeks, you can start lower body training and light cardio workouts. Avoid impact-based exercises for at least four weeks. At six weeks you can start upper body strength training, but make sure to start off slowly. Don't be jerky in your movement at first.However please listen to your surgeon as they may have different guidelines.

i dont know what a reformer is. that being said i tell my patients that upper body activities such as weight lifting or swimming will take six weeks.   what does the person to whom you paid thousands of dollars say?. i would stick with that person.
