At-home Chemical Peel, what would be best for my oily pigmented skin? (Photos)

Question

So i have a mix of oily, acne, and hyperpigmented skin. Im already taking salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide for my skin so a peel for acne isnt what im searching for just for the dark spots which were caused from red acne spots leading dark. My body and facial skin is also very uneven. Im really tan on my face and white on my neck and arms(i live in south florida so i have a farmers tan around my body some spots being darker than others) i want to even my skin tone and rid the dark spots

Thank you for your question. The chemical peel can address the irregular pigmentation and sun damaged skin, issues which could have caused your dark spots. The treatments can be modified in strength, type of chemical peels and then repeated in order to get the results you want. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.

Peels are very risky in patients with darker skin types because of the possibility of post peel hyperpigmentation, which is often hard to clear.  To even your skin tone, consult your dermatologist and consider using retinoids.
