Can my tuberous breast be fixed with breast augmentation alone? (Photos)

There is not much to be gained by labeling someone with tuberous breasts.  An operative plan should be developed based on your anatomy.  Whether that is breast implantation, lift or reduction, symmetrization or some combination of procedures, there is no particular point in stigmatizing your breast shape.  A properly trained, skilled and ethical plastic surgeon can develop a plan based on your anatomy and give you the outcome that you desire.  I see absolutely no point in diagnosing someone with tuberous breasts or restricted base deformity.  Stigmatizing a young person can have an effect on the way they perceive the outcome, even if it is outstanding.

I don't believe that your tuberous breast deformity can be adequately corrected just by adding breast implants.  The narrow constricted breast tissue pushing forward behind your nipples/areolae would still be there and would not blend smoothly into the rounded breast implant shape behind them.  In order to create a nice rounded breast shape overall, you would need to have the constricted breast tissue treated to spread out over the front surface of the implants.  This is very standard and can be performed through an incision around the areolae.

You have a very difficult tuberous breast shape to repair.  Implants alone will absolutely not be sufficient.  A pursestring areolar reduction should provide fantastic improvement however.  I do not suggest a vertical mastopexy as that reduces the width of the lower pole and that is where you are deficient of breast tissue.

hi< theres many ways to treat thus breast deformity,   the main procedure is to do a periarolar incision,   so that means the areola needs to be incised.   augmentation alone will only improve the deformity,   have a great day< Dr. C

Dear ashleybookworm4life,tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall.The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition.My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries.That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Thank you for posting your photos. More o less, but implants will not be enough on their own. You would need additional surgery to lift your areola and to release your lower pole, especially the medial portion. The good news is that all this can be performed with a Donut Lift. This is an incision around areola only that will help lift the breast and reshape it. Additional fat grafting can be performed to fill out some areas. Basically a Donut lift with Implants plus fat grafting will give you great results. This translates into a scar only around your areola so should get good results with  minimal scars.Best of luck on your procedure!Dr. Miguel Mota

hello thank you for your question and provided information as well.. based in your question and the picture you showed you are a good candidate for breast lift  with implant in your case for best result you can apply for position sub glandular , its recommended if you get a consultation in person with a plastic surgeon to determinate how many cc do you need to the better results.

Implants
alone will not solve your problem.  I recommend
a modified Benelli with small implants or fat transfers.  Using a circumareola incision, your breast
tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to
increase your cleavage.  Through the same

Your best breast is breast augmentation for volume but also a reduction of the size of the areola and breast lift. Obtain a face to face consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for an examination and full discussion of options with you.
