Can I use self tanner after my skin heals from fraxel?

Hi there! I'm scheduled for fraxel dual treatment next week. I am wondering/hoping that after I heal will i be able to start using self tanner again? Thnk you

Using a self-tanner after Fraxel should be OK as long as your skin is fully healed. That means leave at least a month to avoid sensitivity. I’d advise you to see your dermatologist when you think you’re ready for a self-tanner so you can get an official all-clear. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert at rejuvenating the skin with Fraxel.

I recommend following up with your Doctor about their protocol for using self-tanner after fraxel. I always combine lasers with microneedling/prp, Sculptra, peels and rf treatments for more robust outcomes for facial rejuvenation. Patients are able to resume their normal skincare routine about 7-10 days after treatment. The length of time after treatment depends on the type of Fraxel Dual treatment (1927 v 1550 wavelengths), so just check in with your provider for their recommendations.

Depending on a variety of factors involved, each patient will have a slightly different downtime and recovery time.
