I posted last week about a open wound. My doctor told me it wouldn't get bigger and just heal now.. it's been a week and it's gotten a lot bigger. Is this normal? Should I go see another doctor for a second opinion? Or just wait even though it's gotten worse. I'm just really worried. Thank you!

In my practice, I do not use gortex sutures to reduce the size of the areola. I certainly do not see a reason for them if you are having a vertical incision. However, if you are concerned, talk to your surgeon and/or get several consults prior to proceeding with surgery.

Your scarring is predictable following a donut lift and you should not have a third donut lift. You are best to let the scars settle and soften and then consider a lift with a vertical scar or anchor shaped incision.
