If I'm going to do a lollipop lift on one side to lift the nipple and decrease the size of the arolea .... do I need gortex sutures or will dissolvable sutures be enough to prevent widening as I'll have the vertical incision?
Answer: Lollipop lift In my practice, I do not use gortex sutures to reduce the size of the areola. I certainly do not see a reason for them if you are having a vertical incision. However, if you are concerned, talk to your surgeon and/or get several consults prior to proceeding with surgery. Thanks for the question, Dr. Luong

Answer: Lollipop lift I usually use a permanent suture when I perform a circumareola lift only. I do not routinely use them for a lollipop lift alone.
