How long should I wait for breast augmentation after having a Brazilian Butt Lift?

After a BBL, you'll probably be instructed to stay off your butt for several weeks.  I usually have my patients sleep on their stomachs (or sides) for 3 weeks.  Once you can get onto your back, and you are feeling good, you can go ahead with the BA.  All the best.

Hi and thank you for your question. I agree that both procedures should be performed separately. I would wait 4-6 weeks.  Having your breasts look natural after a breast augmentation is an art. Research, reseach and the research some more. I am certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and have practiced in the"land of breast implants and Brazilian butt lifts", Miami, for the past 29 years. I encourage you to look up the surgeon you eventually select and make sure they have years of experience in performing cosmetic breast surgery. Furthermore request to see before and after photos of previous patients by that doctor....not a clinic or surgery center. Do your homework......research and verify the doctor's credentials. Have they had problems with the Board of Medicine, disciplinary or otherwise. Any law suits?How about the center, clinic or facility? Are they accredited by a national organization or do they just have State approval. Understand that at the current time, there are three nationally recognized organizations responsible for the highest levels of patient safety, AAAASF, AAACH and JCHO. You owe it to yourself to position yourself for the best possible results but under the most stringent safety regulations, If you have kids, even more so.How about anesthesia? Will you have a medical doctor certified by the American Board of Anesthsiology or a certified nurse anesthetist (CRNA)? Understand that there is no substitute for research. Cosmetic surgery, no matter how simple it may be to the patients, are invasive procedures and as such carry certain risks and complications.I wish you the best on your journey. waiting between surgeries is limited by how well you recover from the first one.  There is no reason you cannot have one general anesthesia one day and another one the next day.  It's just the healing that you want to allow for your BBL before you get on your back, and feel good having another surgery.

Thank you for your question. I usually tell my patients to wait 5-6 months between one procedure and another. But the one that best determines this is your own plastic surgeon and make sure is a board certified one. Best of luck.

 Best to run this question by your plastic surgeons. You will find that the advice you receive online may vary significantly; there is no absolute rules when it comes to staging procedures/timing etc. Hopefully, your first procedure will be complication free and you will be able to proceed without difficulty/delay. There really isn't a hard-fast rule on this. Essentially that would be a discussion to have with the surgeon (or surgeons) you choose to do your surgeries.  I would consider waiting a few months at least to let your body have time to heal & recover from the first surgery--that's probably best, although realistically waiting a month would probably be ok. Keep in mind though that after the BBL you won't be able to put any pressure on the buttock area (no sitting, incline laying, etc.) so that may make it a little more difficult since most people find it most comfortable to lay on their stomach after the BBL.  You won't be able to lay on your stomach after the BA for a bit. Please make sure that you are consulting with board certified plastic surgeons with experience performing these surgeries! Good luck!

Thank you for your question.I will say at least 1 month , this will give you time to recover from the Brazilian Butt Lift . 


Many surgeons, including myself, offer online virtual
consultations where you send us your photos and we can estimate the cost. I,
like many surgeons, also offer free consultations so that you can be examined
and given the most accurate quote. Choose a board certified plastic surgeon who has done a ton
of Brazilian Butt Lifts and has privileges to do this surgery at a local
university hospital. This says his credentials have been checked out by
fellow Drs. All surgeries carry risk, talk to your plastic surgeon and choose
one wisely. 

If you desired only 500 cc's per buttock cheek than you could combine the two operations. But if you desire more volume than a separate operation would be advised. I recommend at least 30 days between ops... Maybe you need more IN PERSON consultations... 

It is ultimately up to your PS, but you should not have to wait very long between these two procedures. As soon as he/she allows you to sit/lay on your buttocks, you should be okay to undergo the second procedure unless for whatever reason he/she is operating on your breasts during the BBL procedure?
