Could I be having a fever related to the cool sculpt?

For up to two weeks following a CoolSculpting procedure it is possible to have swelling, tenderness, mild bruising, lumpiness, some cramping, itching, and perhaps similar issues but it is highly unlikely that it would cause a fever. The fever may be due to an unrelated issue and if it stays high I would encourage you to contact your primary care provider. Feel better!

I think it is highly unlikely that your fever was a result of your CoolSculpting procedure. My recommendation would be to contact your primary care physician.

Hi Adrienne. The CoolSculpting treatment will cause an inflammatory response in the treated area, however it does not usually cause a fever. Especially one week after treatment. Your fever is probably caused by something else, perhaps a cold or virus. If it continues I suggest seeing your primary care physician. Hope this helps!

A CoolSculpting procedure would not normally lead to a fever a week later.  I would recommend seeing your primary care doctor to be evaluated and determine the cause of your fever.  

It is highly unlikely that the fever was caused by coolsculpting. Your primary care doctor may be best able to identify the cause of the fever.

It is unlikely that your fever has anything to do with your cool sculpting.  If you were experiencing pain, perhaps you have been avoiding taking deeps breaths which can stimulate atelectasis; this can trigger a temporary fever response.   With deep breathing exercises, this should quickly resolve.  Please see your primary care physician for an evaluation if your fever does not subside.

Even though there is some inflammation in the fat after CoolSculpting, this shouLd not be enough to cause a fever.  There may be another reason for it and you may wish to consult your PCP.  All the best, Dr. Clark.

A small percentage of Coolsculpting patient's will have pain that will go away in a week or 2. Fever is not a side effect I'm familiar with. Please discuss with your doctor.
