I am a male and I have a weak chin. I also want a better jaw from the front/side view. What would you recommend to me, I might also want to alter my chin shape. Is there any surgery that enhances your jaw without implants? I want a better jaw and a stronger chin/different shape if possible. What procedures should I be looking at, I have somewhat of a underbite. Could I do a sliding genie to correct my jaw and then a different shape chin implant? Also what's a chin wing? Thank you.

Answer: Difference between chin wing implant, sliding genioplasty and jaw surgery? Hi, Non smiling photos of your face from the front and side would help in the evaluation of your chin and jaw line. I have performed many chin augmentations and other facial shaping procedures over the past 30 years using dermal fillers, facial implants, liposuction, facelifts and neck lifts. Following my beauty principles of the face and body that I heave developed over the past 30 years, men look chiseled and handsome with angularity in the cheeks, chin and mandibular angles. If the chin is weak, this will create imbalance in the lower face by making the nose appear large, the mid face top heavy, the lower face weak, de-emphasizing lip fullness and allowing for early formation of a "double chin". I correct weak chins with Chin Augmentation using silastic chin implants placed through a small, curved incision under the chin often using local anesthesia alone in 30 minutes or less. The chin implants with wings are called "anatomical" as their design mimics an ideally shaped chin that tapers in all directions, including alone the lateral (outside edges where the chin becomes the jaw line). In my humble opinion, this is far less of an invasive procedure than a sliding geniolasty that has mire dissection, requires bone cuts with metal screws and/or plates to secure the cut segments of bone. If the mandibular angle is weak, this can be augmented using a dermal filler as , again in my opinion, there are too many unwanted side effects with jaw implants. None of the procedures above will have any impact or alter your bite alignment. Hope this helps.
