Will Cheek implants for face lift eliminate future marionette lines ?

Cheek implants will not affect the marionette area. These implants will volumize, lift and project the cheek bones. While the augmentation can be targeted to different areas of the cheekbone none of the implants that we have available will affect the area below the corners of the mouth. Cheek implants are normally placed through the mouth to enhance the cheek bones or help fill in any sunken areas below the cheek bone in the middle of the face.  Once placed, the implants remain there unless removed.  Placing cheek implants may not affect marionette lines at all, but you would need to be examined to determine if you might be a good candidate for the treatment and what results might be achieved.  

 Cheek impclants are manufactured in a variety of sizes( small, medium and large) and a variety of shapes( malar and sub-malar). None of the cheek implants will do anything for marionette lines since they are placed in the mid face area. Cheek implants are inserted through an intra-oral approach placed directly over the maxilla of the cheek and are placed for patients who have a flat cheek profile.
