Breast lift; Am I a good candidate for a donut lift?

I'm I a good candidate for a donut lift? My ps said no that I need a full lift, but I want to know other doctors opinions about the donut lift what do you think? Any doctors in Miami that does donut lifting??

Hello dear, thanks for your post and provided pictures as well.If you are a women who are experiencing mild sagging, yet still will benefit from a breast lift, are often good candidates for a peri-areolar lift. This involves a circular incision running around the edge of the areola, and like the crescent lift, is commonly performed in conjunction with breast augmentation. This lift can also be effective in helping reduce areola size. The resulting scar traces the edge of the areola.I recommend to visit a board certified plastic surgeon for a person evaluation and to talk about your goals.Good luck :)

Thank you for your question and pictures.  Based on your photos and goals, I do not think just a donut mastopexy will achieve those goals.  I think that you would at least need a vertical mastopexy to regain the shape and nipple position you want.  If you are still unsure, I would recommend consulting multiple plastic surgeons so that you can feel more comfortable in your decision.  Good Luck in your search!Dr. Tag

The donut or periareolar technique is useful for the true “tuberous” breast, but I don’t recommend it for most of my mastopexies. The tightness of the closure around the areola tends to flatten the breast, the scar quality can be poor and the areola can widen due to the tension. Many women ask about this technique due to the perception that there is less scarring, but I usually prefer the vertical technique for its superior reshaping.In addition, I think the best breast lift is the one your surgeon does with great experience and predictable results. Many surgeons would recommend a vertical (lollipop) lift in your case. You've had an in-person consult with your surgeon, and that is the best tool for making a plan that suits your particular body.
